Workplace Investigations And Mediation Services
No one should be ignored or dismissed.
Independent investigations are key to ensuring organizational health and workplace safety, while aligning with statutory regulations and supporting HR teams in managing workplace concerns with a standard of care.
HR professionals bring valuable expertise; however, conducting workplace investigations requires a distinct and specialized skill set. It also demands dedicated time, neutrality, and a structured approach that may be difficult to achieve internally. In many cases, HR practitioners are managing high workloads and competing priorities, so internal investigations may not receive the attention they require and may also present challenges related to perceived or actual conflicts of interest. Existing working relationships or conflicts can influence objectivity and may impact both the process and its outcomes. This can erode trust.
Independent investigations mitigate these risks by ensuring a neutral, unbiased, and thorough process. They support compliance with statutory and workplace safety obligations while reinforcing procedural fairness.
The health and wellness of any organization is a shared responsibility between employers and employees, and prevention is the cornerstone of that success. I support organizations in maintaining this balance by providing independent workplace investigations, comprehensive policy reviews and development, harassment and violence prevention programming, mediation services, and tailored assessment and restoration recommendations. My focus is on preventing issues before they escalate.
I provide timely, third-party, trauma-informed workplace investigations grounded in nearly 20 years of investigative experience. My approach is built on the core principles of procedural fairness, impartiality, objectivity, discretion, and confidentiality, ensuring every investigation is conducted with professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity.
I hold a mediation certification from Harvard Law School and am qualified to mediate a wide range of disputes. While my primary focus is workplace and family mediation, my practice is not limited to these areas. I provide a skilled, neutral, cost-effective, and confidential process that supports resolution, clarity, and forward movement.
I am a former social worker of 20 years. I support organizations in ensuring a safe and supportive environment that prioritizes staff wellness. Workplace harassment and unaddressed workplace issues are unacceptable. My experience of living through it and not being heard is why I am here.
Internal investigations can carry an inherent bias, whether real or perceived. When the people conducting the investigation also work within the organization, employees may question the impartiality of the findings.
Independent investigations remove that concern entirely. They avoid internal politics, competing interests, and pre-existing relationships that could influence the process. Their purpose is to assess the information fairly, neutrally, and based on evidence. This reduces organizational friction and helps maintain healthier working relationships going forward.
Internal teams also face workload pressures that can delay investigations, allowing toxic situations to fester. By bringing in an experienced external investigator, your organization demonstrates a genuine commitment to fairness and accountability.
